On April 20th, Earth Day 2013, Lily Clark and Amy DeCew celebrated the launch of their sustainable fashion line, Lily of Valley Isle, at the Beau Monde Society’s Midsummer Jungle runway show in New York city. Select pieces from the Lily of Valley Isle womenswear collection were chosen to highlight the current choices available in ethical and ecologically-conscious clothing brands.
Lily of Valley Isle focuses on day-to-night and beach-to-town women’s clothing with a contemporary aesthetic and aloha spirit. Inspired by Lily’s transition to life in Maui after ten years in the L.A. fashion industry and utilizing Amy’s prior work in sustainable design within New York fashion, the duo bring high-end finishes like French seams and handmade shell buttons into their use of organic cotton fabrics. Working with the Mehera Shaw production facility in Jaipur, India allows Lily and Amy to combine design creativity, quality, and sustainability into their business vision.
